In reality, the more education and skills you acquire, the more likely you are to become a successful adult. Renee Halton explains that “the task you do, not the education you have is what determines your income (1).” This statement may be true for some people, but most people are not as likely to be successful. Choosing to pursue education at a young age is important so that you can gain more education, more skills, and more experience throughout their lives. In the article, Is College Still a Good Investment, “A college degree is certainly no guarantee of financial success, but it's almost a prerequisite for getting on the income ladder if you're poor” (1). There's really no guarantee of success with a college degree which is forcing people to hold off on higher education, but it's worth the risk
