It all started when Hitler ordered Germany to start rebuilding its army shortly after coming to power. Germany's rearmament began in 1933 and began to advance rapidly in 1936 as part of Hitler's plan to start a war. He restores most things and puts them back. His basic plan was to annex central Europe and create a German empire after his army was ready. Germany began its invasion by moving into the Rhineland and occupying it in 1936. In 1938 the German army invaded Austria and in 1939 Czechoslovakia. This is how they began to slowly invade countries to build a German empire. Other countries were worried, especially European ones, but there was no war yet, so nothing could have happened. Hitler did what he wanted without any fear. There was no one to stop him and he showed his power and scared anyone who opposed him. Thus began the German aggression that would lead to a war called “World War II”. After all this Hitler formed an alliance with the Soviet army and they signed the non-aggression pact with Stalin on two things. Firstly they would not attack each other and secondly both of them would invade Poland from two different sides and divide it between them. Stalin's motive was to recover and reconquer the Russian land he had lost in World War I, while Hitler was to recover the lost German territory called the Danzig Corridor. “Danzig was an important port city on the Baltic; the fifty-mile-wide Danzig Corridor provided land access. The Treaty of Versailles had declared Danzig a free city and given the corridor to Poland, thus geographically separating East Prussia from the rest of Germany. Hitler intended to take possession of the corridor and the port, thus uniting the German state into a single... medium of paper......lor Engelbert Dollfuss. A Nazi squad shot and killed Dollfuss, but the coup attempt was poorly handled. The movement of Benito Mussolini's Italian troops towards the Austrian border forced Hitler to retreat from supporting his Austrian partners. When this happened it annexed Austria and continued to expand. The picture was made clear that he was trying to conquer Europe and build a German empire. When Hitler signed a non-aggression pact with the Soviet army, they attacked and captured Poland. This led to Britain and France going to war against Germany because they felt threatened that Germany was overtaking Eastern Europe and something had to be done about it. All this led to the Second World War. He was known more for the war than Hitler because Germany played a big role in it, but at the end of the war Germany has no chance to win the war, so Hitler commits suicide and Germany surrenders in May 8, 1945.
