Nina, aka Natalie Portman, is a dancer from New York state. Her whole life revolves around dance and she lives with her mother who is an obsessive dancer who hasn't been able to make herself known because she got pregnant. When the director of the ballet company decides to replace Beth MacIntyre for the new production, Swan Lake, Nina is the girl he chooses. But Nina is in competition when a new dancer shows up. The Queen of the Swans must be the White Swan and the Black Swan. Nina is able to play only the White one who shows innocence but not the Black one who shows sensuality. A strange friendship is born between the two rivals and Nina comes into contact with her dark side. Nina's disorder is easily confused with schizophrenia but is actually psychosis. Psychosis is a disorder that contains schizophrenia together with schizoaffective and schizophreniform. In this group there are a number of diseases that affect a person's mind. The person cannot think clearly, communicate effectively, behave normally, and understand what is happening. When the symptoms of the three disorders become severe and become psychosis, the person loses contact with reality and cannot act normally. Symptoms of psychosis vary from person to person. The main ones are hallucinations and delusions. Some possible symptoms are relationship problems, mood swings, detached attitude, unusual behavior, confusion and lack of introspection. Nina experiences all of these symptoms. In one scene she is on the train and sees a girl identical to her dressed in black on the other side of the door but when the girl gets off she sees that it is not her. She sees herself in others many times but dressed in black like her "evil twin". When she enters her mother's painting room... middle of paper... the conditions are much better and she would not have committed suicide. I believe this because she would have realized that all these disappointments were not really happening and that no one was competing with her. In this film the character has a disorder called Psychosis. It is a disorder that contains others within it such as schizophrenia, which is why it is easily confused with that. The difference is that when a person is diagnosed with a problem, they lose touch with reality. Throughout the film we see Nina, a dancer from New York, trying to play two roles, the White Swan and the Black Swan. She gets involved with the black side and begins to show her rebellious side. He sees her dark side when he walks around and hears voices saying "sweet girl". This condition can be treated with medicine and pills if you are diagnosed with something that wasn't in the movie.
