The OJ Simpson TrialO.J Simpson should have been found guilty due to his violent actions on June 12, 1994. There were many actions or causes that led to his violent act. The main and best known cause of Simpson's act was "infidelity". Simpson's wife, Nicole Simpson, had been spending too much time with a man named Ronald Goldman. When OJ became suspicious, he took immediate action. On June 12, 1994, the bodies of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found in Nicole's apartment building; the victims had been stabbed to death. The identity of the killer was unknown until OJ was suspected as a suspect. When he was charged, he was in another state and was forced to move back. (Aaseng 1996) The funeral for the two victims was held on June 16, 1994. OJ attended the funeral along with Nicole Simpson's family and Ronald Goldman's family. Shortly thereafter, on June 17, OJ was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Simpson immediately pleaded “100% not guilty” on July 22, and the trial officially began on July 24, 1994 (Linder 1). Because the jury was mostly black, many outsiders believed this would influence the jury's final decision. “OJ is free and so are we!” and “Live with it!” There were many comments made during the many days of the trial (Elias 22). Judge Lance A was assigned to the case. Since Simpson was the prime suspect, the judge legally ordered searches of OJ's home and the crime scene. The goal was to find evidence that he had committed the crime, by finding DNA or elements. Shortly after the searches and tests began, evidence was found. DNA from the crime scene matched OJ's DNA. Although evidence was found, Simpson continued to plead not guilty. Surprisingly enough, OJ st... middle of paper... began to wonder if framing people was a way for the police force to get what it wanted. Even if the accused person was not guilty. Furthermore, the credibility of local laboratories has been questioned. If they could not be used as a backup or accredited during a major event such as a murder trial, they most likely could not be relied upon for accurate testing. All in all, OJ Simpson should have been found guilty without a doubt due to all the credible evidence and resources that proved he committed the crime. Especially since this was such a serious crime, all factors should have been considered in determining the final outcome. the main reason I think OJ should have been found guilty is because neither Nicole nor Ronald got justice. Both were stabbed to death and did not receive justice, nor did their families receive any form of payment.
