High school and college are two important stepping stones in a person's life. Many people are able to make the transition from high school to college quite easily, while there are others who find the transition to college quite challenging and difficult to adjust to. When I made the leap from high school to college, I found that there are big differences between the two, and they both had very different environments. I have found that the main differences between high school and college are the level of academic responsibilities, time management and scheduling, as well as learning methods. Obviously, there is a big difference in the level of academic responsibilities between high school and college. school and university. In terms of the expectations and responsibilities placed on you in high school, they are more guidance and lighthearted, whereas in college it is more complex and based on the individual. What I mean by this is that in high school you can count on your parents and your teacher to guide you in prioritizing and remind you of your responsibilities. It was part of your parents' and teachers' responsibility to ensure your success in high school. Students have fewer duties to worry about and fewer requirements for which they might depend on the help of others. In class, the teacher usually explains what you need to study and how you are doing with your grades and attendance. Also, in high school, many classes are assigned to you and you are provided with many materials and books. It's a completely different story once you get into college. In college, you have to set your own priorities and have a lot more responsibilities to do. The students are... in the center of the paper... in the classroom. Grades in high school are determined by most assignments, while in college not all assignments are graded. Test and major paper scores provide the majority of your course grade. Students must be able to think critically and understand the material instead of just memorizing it in order to be successful. Students making the transition from high school to college have difficulty adjusting because many are not accustomed to being on their own or to their new environment. When you enter college, you realize it's not the same as high school. There are crucial differences such as the level of academic responsibilities, time management and scheduling, as well as the learning method. College and high school are different in many ways, but ultimately they both share the same goal: teaching students to learn.
