However, in a job interview, if a person makes eye contact while talking to the employer, it tells the employer that she knows what she is talking about and is not afraid of people who have authority over her. In addition to that, while someone else is talking, especially about a possible future boss, people need to make eye contact. It tells the person that they are actually in the conversation and that their thoughts are not curious, it tells them that the person is uncertain and ready to answer a question if asked.
