Yes, we understand that people make mistakes with words, etc. It causes problems when words or grammar are spelled incorrectly and the report is not understandable. Outside of grammar and correct spelling, the main point is needed. You can write a 3 page report and forget to add that the boy was found stabbed in the back while his wife held the knife. Therefore, the police officer places the individual found with stab wounds in the back. But he forgets to mention that his wife was holding the knife. This can make a HUGE difference because the wife can be suspected but ultimately cleared. Having a poorly written report can mean the difference between a conviction and a release.
