Comparing my mother's life, she did not have the comfort of having her father advise her and help her while completing high school. I asked my aunt Mariam what life was like in her family referring to how everyone got along. He told me that they all got along well before their father died, but after they started to get closer to each other and become more involved in each other's lives. My view on how close they were can only be determined by how they interact in this moment. My mother talks to her brothers and sisters often, but she got married at 18 and came to America, so her goal was to start a family of her own. In my family, all my siblings got along well and talked often because they all focused on their careers. My older brother, Ash, who was 26, was starting his master's degree at Saint Mary's. My second oldest brother, Adam, was 24 and starting medical school in Florida. My other brother, Ian, was 20 years old and finishing his college degree in San Diego. During my last years of high school everyone left the house and I was the only one in the house so we didn't see each other
