Parents appreciate the fact that there are no costs to participate in ViVa! Vienna! Music fans absorb the sounds of a wide variety of free music to suit everyone's tastes. These statements, you are probably thinking, describe events at different festivals, different locations and different parks where you would have to pay a lot of money just to enter. For all these statements describe an event: ViVa! Vienna!, a three-day festival of food, crafts, music, carnival rides and community spirit, held annually along Vienna's historic Church Street, from Lawyers Road to Mill St., featuring the Old Vienna Train Station and Caboose which act as anchors. Now in its 27th edition, ViVa! Vienna! will return Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 29 through Monday, May 31, 2010. Carnival rides, along with carnival food traditions of popcorn, corn and funnel cakes, will round out the fare. Memorial Sunday and Monday At the weekend, Church Street will be closed to traffic from Lawyers Road to Mill Street to allow stalls for tradespeople, retailers, political parties and candidates, professional groups and community organisations. Local vendors will offer a variety of foods, including pizza, barbecue, hot dogs and burgers, Italian sausage, but also food traditions from countries around the world. "Viva!
