In contemporary society, immigration reform is enjoying an increasingly loud voice among the people. America's immigration system is broken. Too many employers take advantage of the system by hiring undocumented workers, who currently number an estimated 11 million. This is not good for the economy or for the country. Imagine a day without these undocumented workers in the United States. Not a bus driver, farm worker, cook, nurse, construction worker, waiter, housekeeper, gardener or nanny is to be found. No one drives the bus, picks fruit, washes dishes, builds houses, cleans offices or takes care of children. It's not hard for us to imagine why these low-skilled workers have disappeared. Chaos and tragedy ensue. The question of whether all nations should open their borders to allow us to travel freely, or whether we should tighten immigration controls is a complex question. According to the magazine article "The new common sense", author Teresa Hayter stated that freedom of movement should be the new common sense for immigrants to make a great contribution to the wealth and prosperity of the countries they go to . People should have the right to move freely. The abolition of immigration controls would mean increased freedom, prosperity and opportunity for all of us. First, there is no denying the fact that when we talk about immigration controls, it means that people control migration from poor countries to rich ones. countries, such as those migrating from Congo to Europe or from Laos to the United States. There is substantial evidence that America's long-term economic success depends on fixing its broken immigration system. They will be torn apart by the inflexible immigration system. Only through the reform of the immigration system will they be able to live happily with their families; only through reforms that strengthen the rule of law and the economy will they ultimately be able to abide by the same set of rules. The result will ultimately be a country where many cultures can live and work together to create a truly democratic society.
