The book I read was The Steve Jobs Way by Jay Elliot. Steve Jobs is famously known as the co-founder of Apple Computers Inc. along with Steve Wozniak. It is so different from other companies because of Steve Job's determination to make a product just as a consumer would want. For example, he wanted the products to be very simple and easy to use. Jay Elliot first meets Steve Jobs at a restaurant after Elliot leaves his job at Intel. Elliot starts his new job at the new company. The company hadn't grown yet, but they were working on the Lisa, which was supposed to be Apple's first computer. It was later replaced by the Macintosh because the Lisa was underpowered, heavy and expensive. Steve Job's attitude towards his company reveals that he wants every little detail the way he wants it. He will not accept any denial due to his strong tenacity. Unfortunately, Steve Jobs needed a CEO to properly lead his company. John Sculley, CEO of Pepsi Co., replaced Steve Jobs for a period of time. This was also the time when Apple was supposed to produce the Mac or Apple II. Steve Jobs and John decided to produce the Mac. While Steve Jobs was away, he created NeXT Computer Inc. He also founded Pixar and was successful. When Steve Jobs returned to Apple, he continued to create iTunes, iPod, iPhone, iMac and iPad music stores. Steve's strong desire to make his products appealing to consumers has helped his company grow. Apple makes its products by combining Microsoft software, Sony gadgets, and Dell computers. Apple and Steve Jobs revolutionized computer technology at an alarming rate. The themes of The Steve Jobs Way are structured by Steve Job's leadership of himself. In fact the first......middle of paper......and the president of another company he founded, Migo Inc. It's amazing how a small company has become a corporate giant that has changed the face of the Earth. It also shows us how a legendary CEO would think and perhaps use Steve Job's strategies to create the next Apple Computers Inc. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to venture into or even just learn how to create a company. In conclusion, The Steve Jobs Way is like a storybook of how the Apple Corporation was founded. As the title says, Apple was founded according to Steve Job's method or decisions. I learned more about Apple by reading this book. Apple Computers Incorporated is more than any traditional company; is an innovation company. In addition to revolutionizing computers, Steve Jobs also had an impact on the world of music. This book is a must read for all Apple fans and associates.
