In his critical theory of education, Freire suggested that when students participate more in the learning process, the teacher may be able to determine the points of “gap ” that exist among students and address or fill those specific gaps. Similarly, Montessori and the theory of Social Reconstructionism and Critical Pedagogy argue that by participating more in the learning process students have the freedom to interact with their surroundings through inquiry and other learning processes that expose supports and sustain the natural way of students.
