Therefore, it is essential that graduates understand and have the ability to address the various environmental challenges we are facing today. For undergraduate students, most knowledge about sustainability comes from lectures. Whereas Winter and Cotton (2012) illustrate that learning solely about sustainability is insufficient and that sustainability literacy must take into account students' attitudes and dispositions in order to develop their strategies for reasoned decision making. Furthermore, Winter and Cotton (2012) point out that limitations posed by academic attitudes and disciplinary silos hinder the integration of sustainability literacy into the formal curriculum. Therefore, if universities want to educate more students with sustainability literacy, then they must focus on building more sustainable buildings
