The heat contained in the earth is so intense that it creates molten magma. There are different types of geothermal energy. Some form with magma near the Earth's surface and heat groundwater. The resulting steam is transformed into geothermal energy, which is electricity produced from water vapor. Another geothermal energy can be produced from the heat of rocks. The heat from the rocks is used because there is no magma nearby. Rocks are heated by magma deep beneath the Earth's surface. To produce it, water is forced through rocks heating the water to produce geothermal energy. The quantity and quantity of heat are very high to produce geothermal energy; although it is an excellent source of energy, there are disadvantages. Geothermal energy is not a widespread energy source. Since it is not a common energy source, there is a lack of equipment, employees and infrastructure to develop this type of energy.
