A person in transition, the process of changing one's outward appearance to better fit one's true innate gender expression, from appearing in a male body to living in a male body masculine in appearing and living like a woman- full-bodied is MTF. They are transgender women. A person who transitions from appearing and living as a female body to a male body is FTM and is a transgender man. Genderqueer is a person who identifies with a gender not traditionally present in the male and female binary. This includes various gender identities such as agender, Two Spirit, pangender, bigender, and genderfluid. The concept of more than two possible gender identities and the use of gender labels outside of the gender binary is gaining increasing popularity among transgender youth and will rarely be seen or used by the world's older generations.
