Nuclear energy, although relatively new, is one of the most productive major sources of energy. It was promptly embraced by France, Russia, the United States, and initially Japan, four of the world's major nations. Of course, like any energy source, there are some drawbacks, most of which have to do with safety issues. For this reason, this particular source faces enormous opposition. However, the negative aspects are so largely outweighed by the positive ones (i.e. high economic efficiency and low environmental impact), which in no way arise from the fact that nuclear energy should absolutely continue to be used, and even more so. Nuclear energy is extremely cost-effective. First, producing a large amount of energy requires a very small amount of uranium-235, the most commonly used fuel. Any amount of uranium-235 will produce 3.7 million times the amount of energy produced by the same amount of coal. Although uranium itself is ratioally more expensive than coal, the sheer amount of coal used causes its net cost to be much greater than that of uranium. There is also a similar relationship between nuclear and other non-renewable energy sources. Second, there is an abundant supply of uranium-235. The United States, South Africa, Australia, Canada and Nigeria contain from 270 to 2,400 thousand tonnes each. France, Argentina, India, Algeria, Gabon, Brazil contain from 36 to 124 thousand tons each. Many other countries that were once part of the Soviet Union are also now on the market. And, of course, some of the costs are returned to the economy by the mining industry, which makes the uranium available. obviously, the use of nuclear energy is remarkably economical. Compared to other non-renewable energy sources...... middle of the paper...... are sometimes passed off as being. The use of nuclear energy, despite its drawbacks, is immensely beneficial. It is very convenient and eco-friendly. Even if there is a certain amount of negative, it is insignificant compared to the positive. Yes, fully renewable resources are ideal energy sources, but until the technology is perfected to the point where we can rely solely on them, nuclear energy will be by far the best choice.
