Life course theory, in my opinion, shows a better explanation of women's criminality and the reasoning behind their crimes. Drawing on the framework of Gottfredson and Hirschi's social theory, Laub formed this theory, which speculates on the events of a person's life. Not only does life course theory examine the importance of what initiates these criminal behaviors on the part of these women, but it also explores the patterns of existence that may have caused a change.
