A Perfect Society The largest utopian society is located on the outskirts of Boca Raton, Florida. It is approximately seven square miles with beach and lake property. It also has lush land and a bounty of beautiful trees and flowers. The climate is predominantly tropical all year round and it rains enough throughout the year to water the vegetation. This company is called Nirvana Lakes; takes its name from an Indian religion that means being free from suffering. In Hindu philosophy it is the union with the Supreme Being through moksha. However, in this society the Supreme Being is GOD. The word nirvana means in the Buddhist context, the quenching of the fire of greed, hatred, ignorance, racism and delusion (Donald Lopez, 2011). In Nirvana our religious practice is Christianity and our motto is "Treat your neighbors as you would." I like to be treated." We believe that our community should be able to take care of itself and that no one should be left without it. We pay monthly dues of $200 per month for each family, regardless of their income. This money takes care of all the landscaping and maintenance so that everything is well cared for and attractive. We do this so that everyone feels equal and therefore we do not see evidence of discrimination. This is an example of Skinner's operant conditioning, where a step forward was made by modestly associating the response with the stimulus (Schultz & Schultz, 2008). Nirvana has strict rules about environmental conservation and does everything in its power to contribute to conservation. They grow 80% of their food organically without pesticides, which ensures that no chemicals enter the human food supply. They also try to save the rainforest by not cutting down any more trees... middle of paper... relationship problems, sexual disorders and ADHD medications. 2011.
