TimelineIn 2001, the British economist calls Jim O'Neill, retired chairman of Goldman Sachs. He created the word BRIC and also wrote the article “The world needs better economic BRICS”. In this article, four countries which have had a trend of fast growing economy are mentioned and the four counties which are Brazil, Russia, India and China. The GDP of four counties next year is expected to increase by 1.7% and will continue to grow next year. In 2003, there was the article on “Dreaming with BRICs” by publisher Goldman Sachs, written by Dominic Wilson and Roopa Purashothaman. In this article it is written that the BRIC will grow more than the G6 and that it will be the largest economy in the world. However, just being the largest country economically does not mean that BRIC will be the richest. In 2004, they had an income statistic in the BRIC countries that said more than 800 million people would have an income above $3,000 a year. In 2007, the article “BRICs and Beyond” was published by Goldman Sachs and mentioned the effect of economic growth in the BRIC countries on the environment. In 2009, BRIC held its first summit in Russia, and in 2010 it had the most important timeline: South Africa became the fifth member of BRIC. So, BRIC changed the name to BRICS.BRICS is the group of four countries which have an important role in the economy in the current era, but for the first time there are only four countries as members. After a few years, there is a country that joins this group: South Africa. So, how important is South Africa and how can South Africa join this group? Also, what are the factors that help South Africa join this group. People should study South Africa......middle of paper......also good infrastructure. As far as work in South Africa is concerned, it is very proficient compared to that in another country. Furthermore, it is also very stable in the legal system. The factor most driven by China. So, no one can blame South Africa for being in this group because everyone benefits from each other. Briney reference. AND). Geography of the countries of Africa.
