0.0 Introduction Dear Customers, Here at International Mulch Company, we are here to provide the best quality mulch that looks identical to wood mulch that will last for years. The mulch is made from 100% recycled products that we extracted from used tires. Approximately 311 million tires are wasted each year in the United States alone, and the goal is to save space and the environment by recycling these tires into safe mulch for use on playgrounds or for consumers. In our factory we extract harmful elements from tires and can remove 99.9% of the fiber and metal used in tires. Tires that can now no longer be driven with little or no tread can then be recycled into rubber mulch. People deliver used and unwanted tires to collection centers where they are loaded onto trucks and taken to the manufacturing plant. Torn tires and tire pieces can also be used to create mulch. The tires are rinsed to remove excess dirt and debris and leave only the rubber tire ready for steel extraction. The tires are hooked up to a machine which extracts the steel wires from the tire and the rubber tire is then ready to be shredded. All truck loads must not contain large amounts of metal or less than 5% inorganic material that can be easily washed away or removed. This is checked to ensure that the shredder is not damaged during the tire shredding process. International Mulch company philosophy is that quality is an integral part of the entire company operation, henceforth this Quality Manual will be called the company operations manual.
