Three examples of the supernatural are given in this passage that transformed Macbeth into the evil and evil men. A supernatural is "unexplained by natural laws or phenomena" caused by the three witches who told Macbeth the future (Dictionary.com). Macbeth takes control of the future by making sure this doesn't happen but by killing an individual or sending servants. In Act IV, Macbeth gains further information about the future from apparitions who appear to be the witches. Macbeth experiences three supernatural apparitions, the ghost of Banquo and the floating dagger. Macbeth has begun to understand how difficult it is to be king, knowing that Malcolm, Duncan's son, is returning to Scotland. He intends to fight. Banquo was murdered because he tried to turn his back on Macbeth and the three murderers managed to kill him. The third example of the supernatural is in Act II, the floating dagger represents Macbeth's desire to kill King Duncan. He was thinking of a plan to kill Duncan with Lady Macbeth's help, and wakes up to see the dagger pointed at King Duncan. Macbeth kills Duncan and the chamberlains, but has not finished the crime scene. He forgot to frame the chamberlains, but Lady Macbeth did the job for him. Both were involved in this murder. Lady Macbeth says, “My hands are thy colour, but I am ashamed to wear such a white heart” (Shakespeare, 30). To make this murder happen, Macbeth first tells Banquo to ally himself with him and he will be rewarded for his loyalty (“Macbeth”). After all, Shakespeare adds attention to the play by adding the three witches who are the main cause of all the supernatural that happened in the play. It gives a good perspective on how an individual might believe in a witch rather than live a normal life as a servant. Macbeth cannot continue to hide his secret, even if he kills Banquo who knew about the murder it will only last as long as he can be held back. In my opinion Macbeth wants to be able to control every individual he has caused Scotland to become a depressing country. Macbeth is considered an easy target to manipulate, which led him to kill many innocent individuals. God says, in Deuteronomy 17:7, "The hands of the witnesses must be first to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people. You must put evil out of you." Macbeth lost faith in believing that killing Duncan and Banquo would be easier, it's not because Macduff betrayed him. Every individual Macbeth had faith in turned their back on him and he killed them to hide the truth. I also believe that the truth will be told when Malcolm and Macduff return to fight Macbeth to reveal the truth. Macbeth will continue to suffer until he dies or tells the truth about every murder he has committed in order to be appointed to the throne and the only person willing to help him is Lady Macbeth, his
