There have been many protests over the past year by members of the lower rungs of the fast food industry for an increase in the current seven dollar and twenty-five cent minimum wage at fifteen dollars an hour. This idea is ridiculous and these individuals should not be allowed to succeed in their endeavor. They don't work hard enough to earn that amount, there are other options in occupations that pay more, and there are people who have jobs that actually work to earn their money who earn fifteen dollars or less, unlike these people who don't they do nothing but flip hamburger patties and ask if the customer wants fries. I have always believed that people should work and earn their money rather than receive it. If these people want to be paid such a high hourly rate, they need to do an equivalent amount of work. The fact that they are demanding to be paid a higher wage for doing the same amount of work they are currently doing borders on insanity.
