Topic > Case Study: Reading Is Fundamental (REF) - 1248

Students who fail to meet social standards for achievement may have limited career opportunities later and may exhibit increased behavioral and social problems in the school environment (Howell K., et al., 2006). It would be useful for the RIF to implement this program as a continuation to accompany the work carried out by students during the summer holidays. To take into account different cultures, RIF tutors who speak different languages will be available. Books from around the world will help encourage multicultural students to read. To reach any student who needs additional help, travel to and from a designated safe studio will be arranged. The purpose of continuing the program throughout the school year is to improve overall success in academic reading. A measurement method will be used to ascertain whether the program is successful
