The invention of Twitter was a great thing for the military, as they are able to continue communicating with those they love, regardless of distance. We are also able to make friends all over the world and share our laughter and sadness with those we can identify with, regardless of distance. It kind of brought the world closer even if we don't physically talk to that person face to face, but we are able to connect with similar interests and things are trending on Twitter. For example, when the Super Bowl is underway and Twitter is live, millions of users can tweet their thoughts on the game and who they're rooting for, along with what their favorite commercials aired during the Super Bowl. . Allowing millions of people to follow those people who tweeted things they liked. Honestly, it's made people more aware of what's going on in the world and made people want to give back to communities and help those in need since they see there's a need. Other research shows that students who use Twitter in class for participation purposes feel more comfortable being in class and asking questions to the professor, as they feel they can express their opinion and do not feel judged if they do not achieve the right answer.
