Taylor's business management philosophy is based on the fundamental belief that the administration, businessmen in Taylor's time, were mentally better than the ordinary representative, as well as had a constructive obligation to administer them and fix their exercises of work. This would eliminate what Taylor called “the characteristic inclination of workers to fight” at work. Scientific management included a framework for directing representatives, improving work techniques, and giving motivating forces to workers through the piece rate framework. While Taylor accepted that there was an undisputed need for direct representatives, he also looked for the most ideal method of performing a job and also of giving monetary compensation so as to motivate forces to increase the profitability of piece rate workers through piece rate.
