The focus of this essay is the theme of justice and revenge in William Shakespeare's Hamlet. The main question at hand would be: Did Prince Hamlet serve justice? From the beginning of the scenes Hamlet gets angry when the Ghost comes to tell him the truth about how he died. Hamlet became consumed with information. So he wants nothing more than to take revenge against his uncle Claudius for killing the late king. Not only did he kill the late king, but he is now in control of the Kingdom. This is shown through the scenes, as he couldn't kill the king when he had the chance in the church because he wanted the king to confess to the murder so it could be justifiable in his eyes. The Last Seen pretty much sums up everything up until the battle between the prince and Laertes. They both want revenge, but they can't see past this pity fight and it seems like no one else can.
