People who know nothing about cultures other than their own may develop a phobia/fear, called xenophobia. Xenophobia is the fear of other cultures, it can make you angry at another culture for no reason. It affects many people around the world and continues to be a bad thing that can start wars, cause the death of innocent people and much worse situations. Researchers say around 150,000 people suffer from xenophobia and the numbers don't seem to stop increasing. Culture is very important to know and can greatly influence life, people who have learned about other cultures besides their own have even switched to new religions. People who have changed have met new people, started a new life, etc. It has been proven that people who are eager/willing to learn about new cultures are happier in life and have even made other people happier too. Some people who hate other religions other than their own think that it is extremely sinful and wrong not to follow their culture, they might hate someone they have never met for no explained reason. These kinds of ignorant people have caused bad things to happen, whether it's 9/11 or even a family breaking up or someone getting hurt. Actually, other cultures can be something great. You should always try to learn about new cultures, by eating new food, trying on new clothes, or even talking to a friend or someone you know about their culture. If you know more than one culture you could potentially do great things in life and always be happy to meet new people. Some politicians think it's the worst thing in the world to be non-Christian in some places, they could deport you if you were, say, Muslim in a Christian neighborhood, or if you didn't go to church you could be threatened or even worse. People who suffer from the fear of xenophobia generally live in a more fearful society and hate people more and more. It is important to know about different types of cultures because the world has all different types of varieties and you should at least try to know more about them. one to get a better education and lifestyle. Again, people who are stubborn and stick to their only religion out of some silly personal grudge are generally less happy and depressed. For as long as humans have been alive, cultures and grievances have affected the entire world in serious ways.
