I learned many things during this course: how to write a good essay, how to delve deeper into some essays I have already written in the past. I learned how to locate my resources to find every mistake in my writing. I use the library the most and of course the most obvious thing is the textbook. I use the book primarily to learn how to cite research and any other mistakes I've made. Upon reflection I can say that this course was fun and I would recommend it to anyone. Say no to plagiarism. Most schools around require you to take an English course because it is useful and something you should pass at school with a higher level. This English course really prepared me for future tasks, because as an athlete we have to read documents written by others. This means that I will have to write letters of recommendation if I wanted to get a job and you would like it to be as perfect as possible. It is necessary to be able to write reports for my future work profession that I have chosen to undertake. The writing skills I have learned in my two years here at the University of Alabama will continue throughout my college years and into my workforce. Many say you won't even use what you learned after college, but in some cases you will need your educational mind for a task you need to complete. My teacher taught me things I had never learned before. Well, actually I did, but he taught me better to understand English writing more. I analyzed everything for the lesson and understood quickly and this was surprising to me. He dedicated himself to actually teaching us the formula of writing. Many hands went up to answer questions and this shows that we are learning something new. I'd love to read some of his work if it's available to see how good he is. Another reason he made writing fun was the passing documents that were terrible and he made us read them. We've all gone from terrible to great. I want to be well educated and intelligent in all courses of this English course. Writing a Research Paper From all the things I have learned up to this point, none have been more difficult than attempting to do a research paper. I hated doing them in high school. This is one of my weak points. You have to gather so much information on a topic that is given to you, which makes it challenging. My classmates and I connected in the library to work on the newspaper together. They were very helpful with every part I needed. We were actually doing a lot and for the first time I saw how to write and set up a research paper. All my previous articles were not good at all, in fact, I would even recommend having someone read them because it would be a waste of time. Knowing what I know now about research papers; I could have been excellent from the start and finished the course a long time ago. I look back on it and think: wow, all it took was dedication and some students who could help me a little. That jumpstart was all I needed, so I took it and ran. I learned to cite in MLA and APA format. It took me a while to understand the difference between them, but I managed to figure it out. Writing a Profile Paper The last paper in the course was a profile paper.
