I agree with this statement because with all the technology and entertainment offered by the 21st century, where has the thinking and investigation gone? In his book Fahrenheit 451, his words manifest a horrible time in which important writings by philosophers, playwrights, and authors are censored and almost everyone is focused solely on all the mind-numbing technology around them. In another article titled “Study Explores How the Internet and Technology Affect Young People” by Michael Abernethy, a survey explores how these machines could affect future generations in a negative way if raised in their presence. I understand that technology is useful and makes life much easier, but relying too much on it will weaken the ability to think freely and prevent us from seeing the true meaning of knowledge.
