The dance consisted of five pairs of one male and one female. The dancers wore beautiful and sumptuous Spanish dresses. The top of the dress was tight and the bottom was short and puffy like a tutu. Each dress was a different color with little design, but just enough to catch the audience's attention. The male dancers wore suits and ties that matched the color of their partners' dress, but the shirt was buttoned and had the same design as their partners' dress. The female dancers wore Footlights and the male dancers wore what looked like ballet shoes. The performance began with a Pas de deux and then concluded with a coda. The music used in this performance was a combination of the beautiful rhythms of Conga, Rumba, Mambo and Cha Cha. Which if you're not very familiar with this genre of music, it's fast paced and upbeat. The artists danced to the beats of the music so quickly and fluidly. I remembered learning in class that the performer had to make it seem like dancing was easy for him and all performers had this expectation. They all kept smiling and none of them made a mistake from what I could remember. This performance reflects the Latin American culture with their musical tastes and how good they are as dancers.
