While the Fourth Gospel is given the conventional title "John", the gospel itself is anonymous ("John, Second Gospel"). The composition dates of the Fourth Gospel are still disputed today, however, "the latest reasonable date for the composition of the Gospel is before 100 AD" ("John, Second Gospel"). Therefore, it is possible that the Gospel of John was inspired by the Synoptic Gospels, despite the fact that many of the events described in these accounts differ. In John 20,11-18, the resurrection of Jesus is explained admirably: “In the fourth gospel, the story of the crucifixion is a story of glorification, inseparable from the resurrection” (“John, The Second Gospel”). The Fourth Gospel's glorification of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection portrays Jesus as a divine being rather than a human being
