Teachers can take several ways to help students achieve this goal. One example is to provide and discuss examples of good student writing. This will help me and my fellow students recognize the components of what makes good work and would help students identify alternative methods to use when writing for a specific assignment. Providing detailed feedback on syntax and grammatical errors can also be helpful in improving my writing. For example, instead of writing “awk” as feedback on a poorly constructed sentence, it would be more helpful if the teacher provided reasons why it was embarrassing and provided clear instructions. It may hinder the teacher's free time, but their help will give me the opportunity to use it as a guide when revising my writing and improve my future essay assignments. Over the course of my school years, I gradually developed my writing skills to help me become a better writer. I continue to find ways to improve my writing skills by working on my weaknesses and incorporating the feedback I receive from my peers and teachers into my essays. I still sometimes struggle to prepare to start my essay, but with precise, organized planning and getting help from others, I'm sure I will become more skilled at writing
