The research is based on the theory that transformational leadership drives followers' motivation for organizational success. Fueled by the insights of James MacGregor-Burns, Steven Covey, Peter Drucker, Lussier and Achua, Bass, Baldoni and other leading researchers of the transformational leadership style. Transformational leadership style, assisted by effective communication and the influence of transactional leadership, is proven to bring out high morale and productivity in followers. Steven Covey's Brief Thoughts on Transformational Leadership Style: "The goal of transformational leadership is to 'transform' people and the organization in a literal sense, to change them in mind and heart; to broaden vision, intuition, and understanding; clarifying goals; making behavior congruent with beliefs, principles or values; and making changes that are self-perpetuating and create momentum.” (Covey, 2004) goals unambiguously, motivate action, and accomplish goals. In 1978, James MacGregor-Burns proposed the concept of Transactional and Transformational Leadership Leadership theory shows that each situation warrants a different type of leadership depending on the circumstances in question. Bringing together leadership and communication to complement each other to motivate the follower pair, two traits that lead to organizational success. Communication is defined as “the effective transmission or sharing of ideas and feelings, or the imparting or exchanging of information or news”. (Merriam-Webster, 2014).
