Marketing to Millennials is beneficial for companies because it increases their financial demands. Menkes states that “this is the generation of free downloads, easy access to everything,” which is true since in today's society millennials have access to social media, which they use constantly every day, and they also have access to electronic devices (497 ). According to a recent statistic, 91% of millennials regularly use the Internet and spend at least 25 hours a week online (Charalambous). This statistic shows that most millennials browse the Internet frequently, which means they constantly spend time online doing research, shopping online, socializing, and sharing on social networks. However, millennials are more likely to have their first interaction with brands with their smartphones as a large portion of millennials use their devices often and businesses need to have some type of social media account in order to achieve this.
