There should be no judgment when it comes to which families are acceptable and which are not. This standard by which women are judged is very harsh. When a woman becomes pregnant unexpectedly and is not ready, she may resort to abortion. This is something that I believe should under no circumstances be allowed. Women may feel like they can't give their child the family they want and decide to give up. However, there has recently been a dramatic decline in the abortion rate in the United States since 1973. Researchers have concluded that this may be due to more and more women becoming comfortable raising children in unconditional environments (Somashekhar ). Yet, they don't realize that having a child is a truly beautiful experience. Many families today are becoming less and less conventional, and we should realize that that's okay. I believe that anyone who has a child is capable of loving and caring for that child, regardless of the type of family he or she belongs to
