Technology has grown over the years, always changing and evolving in ever new ways. It has now become almost second nature for us to use technology on everything. We use technology for the smallest things, like looking up the recipe for our next meal, or the name of an actor, or simply checking on a friend. It seems that the more technology develops, the more addicted and dependent we become. If we really analyzed and thought about how many times we use technology per day, we would start to realize how much it has consumed us. Just think about how many times a day you see someone on the phone or computer. You will begin to understand how dependent we are. It is so common for us to use and see people use technology, that we take it for granted and don't think twice about it. However, is becoming so dependent on technology a bad thing? I feel like we're very dependent on technology. Technology, like everything, has its ups and downs, you know, pros and cons. Technology makes everything much easier for everyone. We can travel long distances, talk to our loved ones, and even entertain ourselves. Technology has also made things safer for us. There have been so many technological advancements throughout recent history that were created to keep people safe and away from dangers, such as fire alarms and airbags in motor vehicles. Technology has also made things much faster for us, like traveling. Cars, planes, and boats help many people get to different places around the world in a shorter time, and the Internet has also made communication around the world almost instantaneous. Like most things, there are always some types of disadvantages. With the advancements in technology… middle of paper… this dependence and dependence on technology can be very harmful to us because of how clueless and lost we would be if everything stopped working or disappeared. We need to understand the difference between what really helps us and what really hurts us in the long run when it comes to technology. If you take some time off, maybe turn off your cell phone; I bet you will feel less stressed and much more relaxed. Take some time out of your day to get away from the craziness of all those crazy computers and TVs. Instead of watching The X-Factor on TV, go out and walk around your neighbourhood. Instead of peeking at your phone every couple of minutes, try leaving it alone for a while. It's always harder to leave something cold, just limit yourself. As all the experts say, you can always have something, but in moderation.
