Facebook is one of the most popular social media software nowadays. It is an online social software founded in February 2004 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg. People everywhere can recognize and interact with new friends from different countries, ages, cultures, languages and nationalities. Furthermore, Facebook users can share information about themselves, actions and adventures, recreational activities, etc. Additionally, you can download music, pictures and movies. Like other entertainment software, Facebook has positive and negative effects that influence the social behavior of adolescents. Facebook precedes Microsoft, YouTube and Wikipedia and ranks third in the world ranking. Facebook has over 5oo million people worldwide and over 300 million of them log in to use the site daily. Additionally, 30 million users access Facebook via their mobile devices. All of this makes Facebook one of the most popular networking sites on the Internet. People use Facebook mainly to communicate with their friends and relatives. Facebook provides a great social communication environment. In this essay I will discuss a number of ideas about Facebook. First I will define Facebook as a social network. Secondly, I will talk about the positive aspects of Facebook. Third, I will discuss the negative aspects of Facebook. (BBC, 2012) Facebook has many positive effects on the social behavior of adolescents. Firstly, Facebook works to create a connection between different users from different places with their friends within a short distance. Today, teenagers are stressed with homework and have to work hard all the time on school books and research, so they can't connect with their friends and don't have enough time for them. From then on Facebook lets you…half of the card…invite, the more points they get the more they can play. It creates an endless cycle of wasting time. 3. Adults who have a strong Facebook presence have more negative psychological behavior. Why? The Answer Adults have much stronger opinions. As we get older, we choose to fight for our beliefs. We often feel like we have to defend ourselves and our choices. Additionally, adults often spend more time on Facebook. Many companies have banned the use of FB at work or disabled the FB platform completely. It's so easy to get lost in games, someone's photos, or posted cat videos and waste a lot of time during the day. We also think it's rude not to respond to someone. our early lives were shaped by parents who taught us that being polite was important. If we don't respond, or if we don't say "Happy Birthday" to a friend on FB, we feel bad, like we've failed.
