His writings are very detailed and he predicted many future gadgets in his books. HG Wells converted from Christian to atheist to open his mind and become a more accomplished science fiction author. From start to finish his books keep audiences drawn in and wanting more. Wells was a firm believer in science fiction. H. G. Wells believed that certain arguments in his writings would become true, which he demonstrates in both The Time Machine and War of the Worlds, that war had the potential to end the human race and that humans and animals were very similar. it was popularized in the 1920s, if not invented in the 1920s” (Sterling, The world of science fiction). Hugo Gernsac had put science fiction on the map. HG Wells made science fiction what it is today. Authors in this specific genre primarily attempt to write about new technological advancements and gadgets. Authors usually include a new species or disease that seeks to destroy the human race. Many science fiction works also include an alien invasion on earth, such as War of the Worlds. Between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s, some comets fell to Earth. This scared many people around the world. These comets inspired some authors to begin writing in the genre known as science fiction. Science fiction, or “scify,” has become a very popular genre. From literature around the world, to Hollywood films, science fiction has invaded the world and is becoming even more popular today than ever. There is even a TV channel dedicated to science fiction films!...... middle of paper....... He firmly believed that time travel was possible, and that a time machine would one day be built invented. He also believed in alien life form. Wells saw no possibility that humans were the only form of life in the vast universe. He didn't like war very much. Wells considered the war useless and humiliating. Wells believed that one day humanity would destroy itself through war. He had lost faith in society and human evolution after the First World War. Wells had also had the feeling that humanity was nothing more than animals. Humans were ants compared to other life forms in his book, The War of the Worlds. Humans were no better than animals. Humans and animals are all part of the earth and are all one species. HG Wells thought that some arguments in his literary works would become true, he felt that war had the power to end the human race and that humans were nothing more than animals.
