Topic > Case Study: Child Killers - 729
Not only that, child killers want the desire to feel powerful or tend to use their victims as a "science project", trying different levels of violence on their victim, to see what reaction they might have. This in my opinion, I believe many child killers possess it. First, egocentric behavior is satisfying one's own interests. Regoli, R., & Hewitt, J. (1991). Secondly, the boys' attitude during the trial would make me think that they didn't care about killing the child. Not feeling guilt for killing one's victim would suggest the theory of moral disengagement, which is "the individual's tendency to use mechanisms conducive to selective disengagement from moral censure." Regoli, R., & Hewitt, J.
