Topic > The Purpose of Fairy Tales - 1027

They may surprise too many, but fairy tales have been reinterpreted so frequently in many cultures since their origin. As far as we know, the fairy tales date back as far as 350 BC. Scholars believe that such stories were originally passed down orally from generation to generation and became an instant success over the decades. Second…. (2013) Fairy tales were initially intended for adults, but eventually became a tradition of stories that parents generally read to their children. Furthermore, fairy tales usually feature characters such as elves, evil old witches, stepmothers, and innocent young girls, and usually involve magic of some kind. However, the term fairy tale itself was first used by Madame d'Aulnoy, a 17th-century French writer, who used the term to describe her fairy tales, which she called contes de fee. After reading this fairy tale to your children, you may never look at fairy tales the same way again. The story of the fairy tale begins with the same lines with which all fairy tales begin: "Once upon a time..." and ends with "...They lived happily ever after". However, this story contains new concepts incorporated. As with anything, many people have criticized the fact that fairy tales shouldn't end with a "happily ever after" as they may personally believe that there is no true happy ending. However, to counteract this, perhaps as parents, you can take a step back and explain to your children to help them realize that it's just a story. This new edition of a fairy tale I wrote will forever be known as Bella In the Wild.
