Topic > Illegal Immigration to America - 1545

Illegal immigration has been an ongoing problem in America for many decades. The form of law that currently governs the immigration process is the Immigration and Naturalization Act, and it has been violated for many years as immigrants still continue to flood into states illegally. Immigration laws that have been enacted in the past and have been continually amended lead to current policy that falls under the model of Incrementalism. However, it is important to note that America's current immigration system is broken and in desperate need of reform. There are 11 million people living in darkness, and too many employers cheat the system by hiring undocumented workers in exchange for lower pay. The current system is damaging the economy and destroying our country as a whole. Of the 11 million illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States, 8 million of them are currently working. Employers in America who want cheap workers hire illegal immigrants and pay them under the table. Because the system has no efficient way to identify and penalize these employers, this has been a constant dilemma. As a result, the American economy suffers because illegal immigrants do not pay taxes like the rest of legal citizens. As a result, Americans who are citizens have difficulty finding work because employers prefer to pay under the table so they can make higher profits. In my view, employers are at fault if they knowingly hire workers who are not fit to work here. However, if the employer was unaware of an immigrant's illegal status, then the immigrant is guilty of cheating the system. These are just some of the current issues related to illegal immigration that...... middle of paper......and results. I believe that this reform would be rational and useful for the masses, especially if a new platform was built on the basis of research conducted from previous policies. Bottom line, I believe the current immigration system is broken. Millions of illegal immigrants live undocumented in the United States. This leaves an unfair system for all current citizens who pay taxes and for immigrants seeking to migrate to the country legally. There is clearly a desperate need for reforms and the proposal presented offers many solutions that can boost our economy and create several new jobs. The national GDP will increase significantly over the years and tourism profits will skyrocket, as well as boost our economy. This reform can create new opportunities for the improvement of this country and allow room for growth in a variety of different aspects.
